Knit the Kobuk Hat: An Introduction to Texture

Thursdays, October 2 & 16, 2025   6 - 8 PM @ YarnCom

If you feel comfortable knitting, purling, increasing, and decreasing and are looking for your next knitting skill, learning how to knit texture is a great place to start! 

In this class you will learn how to knit twisted rib, seed stitch, 1x1 cables, and bobbles by working through the Kobuk Hat pattern by Caitlin Hunter. In the first session we will learn twisted rib, seed stitch, and the cables. In session 2 we will cover bobbles, decreases in pattern, and finishing. 

If you have wanted to learn these skills in a friendly, supportive setting, this class is for you!

Please Note: This is not a class for absolute beginner knitters. It is best suited for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters. Must be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and k2tog.

Pattern included in class cost.

Supplies Needed:

1 100g skein of worsted weight yarn

US 4/3.5mm DPN’s or circular needle (minimum of 16” length)

US 6/4mm DPN’s or circular needle (minimum of 16” length)

This class is 2 sessions long. Please ensure you are available for both of the sessions before booking your spot. See cancellation policy below.

Class Policies:

Forager Fiber Studio must be notified a minimum of 48 hours before the first session begins if you will not be attending. Refunds will not be available for cancellations within 48 hours of the first session.

Credit card refunds for cancellations are available with a $15 administration fee.

Gift card (store credit) refunds for cancellations are available at no additional fee. The gift card will be digital and sent to you via email. 

You may reschedule your class up to 48 hours before the first session if the class is offered at another time.
