About Us
Forager Fiber Studio weaves sustainability into every step of the creative process.
It began with a deep love of the natural world. Carly Hampton, our founder, sought to find ways to infuse her connection to nature into the everyday and to return to the slow, intentional practices that ground us in the present moment. This is where her love of natural dyeing began.
Every step of the process, from the raising of the wool, to the creation of the yarn, and finally its dyeing, cherishes and honors the world from which it came. Our dye materials are foraged, ethically sourced, or are a repurposing of materials otherwise considered waste. Each is composted and returned to the Earth when finished. The water used in the dyeing process is also returned to the garden, ensuring a closed-loop creation process.
